Here is number 2, in my Wichita series. “The Beacon”.  It is of one of my favorite places to meet up for breakfast or lunch. And I must say every meal that I have had here has been great. It’s nothing fancy, but just great food. It is also a great place to people watch. You get to see both ends of the spectrums and everything in between. Until this last year the Wichita Eagle newspaper was next door. In days past you could see the beat reporters there eating. And you never know when you could see a local celebrity having a meal here.   The Beacon is located on Douglas and has been been a favorite for many folks for many years. In short this is the type of place that adds to the Heart and Soul of a City.
